Following sustained growth and a desire to enhance support for their organics recycling clients, SKALA Australasia has recently established a dedicated business unit, SKALA Environmental, offering specialised and dedicated sales, service and equipment supply to the industry. The new division will add additional sales & aftersales expertise with a combined +40 years of experience in the organics & recycling industry. With additional warehouse inventory and several new products launched into the Australian market, such as the recent launch of the new S60 Starscreen, the establishment of SKALA Environmental is an exciting milestone for the company.
Customer requirements are evolving
SKALA Director, Simon Toal notes “Our customers are telling us what they want, and we’ve listened. Increasingly customers are requiring greater levels of service and support to improve their business competitiveness or performance. This requires a real commitment to service, relationship and resources. A closer and more collaborative supplier-client relationship provides that confidence and enables our customers to optimise their operations.”
We listen, we care
Industry in general is becoming increasingly competitive and processors are seeking efficiencies through industry leading technology, increased reliability and performance. “Processors are looking for an enduring and trusted supplier that provides them with confidence in technical support, parts availability and responsive aftersales relationship. The relationship starts at the factory and in response our OEM partners are also deeply committed to continuous improvement, refining their processes and systems with comprehensive diagnostics for remote maintenance, more seamless parts logistics chains and more interactive communications systems to capture and share experience and learnings across the industry. Proactive maintenance, training and technical support go a long way to improving productivity.
Quality equipment, quality support
Since the company began in 2012, SKALA has aligned with top tier global manufacturers that provide the business and it’s customers confidence well beyond the initial sale. SKALA distributes Eggersmann nationally. “Eggersmann Gmbh, a long-established German manufacturer, is a unique technology provider in that they are quite vertically integrated. Not only do they manufacture a considerable amount of the equipment internally, the Group also own/operate a number of composting facilities in Europe, which provides a fantastic in-house testing ground for new technologies and offers their designers great insight and real-time experience for their products” Simon explains.
What hasn’t changed? SKALA remains an Australian, family owned business with the same core values that have underpinned it’s success:
– Our knowledge and our people are the key to our success.
– We take pride in our long-term relationships with our customers
– Professionalism, respect, honesty and integrity are the foundation for all our dealings with our customers.
– Quality equipment outlasts a quick buck and value for money is a long term assessment. Total cost of ownership is a key metric.
